The 6 days Uganda and wildlife safari includes a drive to Queen Elizabeth national park for game drive, launch cruise and chimp trekking in Kyambura gorge. After you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park and embark on Gorilla trekking and a cultural encounter with the Batwa community.
Transfer to Lake Mburo national park, which is one of Uganda’s smallest parks but well endowed with natural beauty. Here visitors will embark on a boat cruise and nature walk in the park to watch the beautiful topography of the entire Lake Mburo national park.
The driver will pick you from the hotel early in the morning and embark on a journey to south west to Queen Elizabeth national park. It is Uganda‘s most desired destination for wildlife safaris. It is a diverse site with numerous wildlife gems.
On the way the first stopover will be at the crossing Equator for some photography and lunch will be in Mbarara town before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth national park while enjoying an en route game drive when entering your lodge. Dine and slumber at; Mweya safari lodge, Ihamba safari lodge or Pumba safari cottages.
After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the headquarters before embarking on a morning game drive to see some of the wanders of the national park. Queen Elizabeth National park is a rich site when it comes to game viewing. Some of the common sightings here includes; lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes and variety of bird species.
After the 4 hours of this game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, lunch; and in the afternoon have fun on a delightful boat cruise on the Kazinga channel to encounter creatures like the hippos, crocodiles. Numerous water birds include; the Kingfishers, shoebill stork, herons, bee-eaters and many others.
Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge; Mweya safari lodge, Ihamba safari lodge or Pumba safari cottages.
After breakfast in the morning, drive to Kyambura gorge to trek the chimpanzees and some of the primates. Some of the primates that trekkers can encounter include; chimps, baboons and monkeys. After trekking, head back to the lodge for lunch and drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park via Ishasha where the tree climbing lions are found, watch out for them on the fig tree as you drive through the park. Dinner and overnight will be in Bwindi impenetrable national park at Gorilla Safari Lodge, Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge or Gorilla Havens Lodge
This is a life time experience that you will embark on this day to encounter the giants of Bwindi national park face to face. Transfer to the office of the park early in the morning for briefing on trekking activities. After the briefing set out into the forest to search for the assigned gorilla family in the thick forest of Bwindi.
This adventure can take 2 to 6 hours. On meeting the gorillas, trekkers are only allowed one hour to spend with gorillas. Return to the lodge after that for lunch. In the evening embark on a Batwa community walk for the fascinating culture to enjoy entertainment from traditional dancers with typicalBatwa songs and folk stories. You will havedinner and overnight at; Gorilla Safari Lodge, Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge or Gorilla Havens Lodge.
Wake up in the morning, have breakfast and embark on a transfer to Lake Mburo national park with an en-route game drive as you drive to the park headquarters.
Check in to the lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon embark on a canoe ride on Lake Mburo to encounter the crocodiles and hippos plus numerous bird species. You will have dinner and overnight at Mihingo lodge, Arcadia Cottages or Eagle’s Nest.
After breakfast, you will set off for a guided nature walk to watch the beautiful topography of Lake Mburo national park. Enjoy a game viewing while driving in the park and later embark on a return drive to Kampala via the equator. The drop off point is at the hotel in Kampala or the airport according to the schedule.
